YOUNG OFFENDER ARRESTED

City Police arrested a 17-year-old young person yesterday on an outstanding arrest warrant. The youth will appear in court on July 20th. The arrest stems from an incident back in April of this year where the youth allegedly pushed and punched another male in the shoulder. The incident occurred in a residence in the City’s east end.

X-BOX, GAMES AND KNIFE COLLECTION STOLEN

Early this morning City Police took a report of a break and enter to a residence in the 100 bock of Albert Street West. Sometime between 6 pm and 3 am thieves entered the home and made off with an X-box and 3 games and also a knife collection. 9 knives in total were taken and are valued at approximately $300. One of the knives has an “alien head” handle and another has an “eagle head” handle. If you have any information regarding who is responsible for this break and enter, or know where the stolen property is, call City Police at 949-6300 or Crime Stoppers at 942-7867.

CAUTION: MOTORISTS

The end of school is quickly approaching for all the students and the City Police are asking motorists to pay special attention to areas where the kids may be. As the year-end is approaching their attention may be on their summer plans and not on the traffic around them. Pay attention to the speed limits, especially in the school and park areas around town. Help the kids have a safe and accident free summer!
