Two Male Youths Arrested for Robbery at Millie’s Mart on Goulais Avenue

Two male youths, ages 15 and 17, were arrested on the 19th of April at 12:55 pm on Goulais Avenue in relation to an armed robbery that occurred at the store at 12:45 pm yesterday afternoon. City police were called to the store by an employee after the two males allegedly entered the store, wearing hoodies, one of them wearing a mask disguise covering his face and was in possession of a knife. The two males were scarred off by two persons that the employee also called for assistance that were in another part of the business at the time of the robbery. The two male suspects were followed by the witnesses and police arriving on scene apprehended them on Goulais Avenue without further incident. As a result, the 15 year-old male was charged with one count of robbery with a weapon, one count of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and one count of disguise with intent. He is to appear in court on the 25th of May. The 17 year-old male was charged with one count of attempt robbery with a weapon, one count of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and one count of breach of probation and is to appear in Bail Court this morning.

Two males Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

40 year-old Hisham Suliman of #1710 – 100 Ferguson Road in Hamilton Ontario was arrested on an outstanding warrant yesterday afternoon on Boston Avenue. He was charged with two counts of breach of probation. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

20 year-old Jacob Vachon of 1340 Carpin Beach Road was arrested on the 19th of April at 10:35 am at the court house on Queen Street East. He was charged with one count of fail to appear court. He is to now attend court on the 31st of May.

Break and Enter Reports

• Five cottages on North Gros Cap Road in Prince Township were broken into. A fire extinguisher was sprayed inside some of the cottages. At this time, nothing is reported stolen.
• A garage on Douglas Street was entered. Hand and power tools, a chainsaw, a welder and a motorbike were reported stolen.

Another garage in the 700 block of McKenzie Avenue was reported broken into sometime over the past weekend. Approximately #2,000.00 in tools were reported stolen
