Four persons to appear in bail court today: 1) At approx 6:20 pm yesterday evening city police attended at a west end residence and arrested a 44-year-old male as a result of a domestic assault.
Four persons to appear in bail court today:

1) At approx 6:20 pm yesterday evening city police attended at a west end residence and arrested a 44-year-old male as a result of a domestic assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his common-law wife on three different occasions and also threatened to cause bodily harm to the victim. It is further alleged that at the time of his arrest the accused escape from police custody – he was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. The accused is charged with one count of escape custody, one count of threatening and three counts of assault. The victim did not require medical attention.

2) Yesterday evening city police were called to an east end residence regarding a domestic complaint. It is alleged that the accused, a 25-year-old male, assaulted his girlfriend. The male was arrested and charged with one count of assault. The victim did not require medical attention.

3) Last night city police were called to a north end residence regarding a domestic assault. It is alleged that the accused, a 27-year-old female, assaulted her common-law husband. The accused was arrested and charged with one count of assault. The victim did not require medical attention.

4) Early this morning city police arrested a 34-year-old female and charged her with three counts of breach of probation and three counts of breach of a recognizance release order. It is alleged that the accused contacted and harassed her ex-girlfriend while on recognizance release conditions to not communicate, harass or annoy the victim. At the time of these offences the accused was on probation.

Property Crimes:

Break and enters:


A garage was entered in the 100 block of Hussey St. It is unknown what was taken.
The mechanical shop of Huron Central Railway, located at 30 Oakland Ave was entered it is not known what was taken.
Two attempted break and enters were reported yesterday –attempts were made at residences in the 100 block of St. Basil’s Dr. and also in the 800 block of Bonney St.

Thefts:

A bicycle was reported stolen from a residence in the 500 block of Old Goulais Bay Rd.
Vehicles parked in the 100 block of Vesta Pl. and the 100 block of Retta St. were entered – it is not known at this time what was taken.
A small amount of cash was reported stolen from a residence in the 800 block of Fifth Line E.

Mischief:

Vehicles were damaged in the following locations:
The 300 block of Alexandra St.
The 300 block of John St.
The 500 block of Parliament St.
The 100 block of Ascot Ave.
The 100 block of Teal Ave.
Windows were broken at a residence in the 100 block of Biggings Ave at approx 1:30 this morning.
