Four persons to appear in bail court Early this morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested an 18-year-old female for breach of probation. It is alleged that this morning the accused attended at the address of her ex-boyfriend.

Early this morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested an 18-year-old female for breach of probation. It is alleged that this morning the accused attended at the address of her ex-boyfriend. At the time of this offence the accused was on a probation order release with conditions to stay away from that address. The accused is charged with one count of breach of probation.

Last night members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 33-year-old female for assault and assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on July 8th the accused assaulted her ex-common-law partner by kicking him in the hip. It is further alleged that yesterday evening the accused attended at the residence of her ex-common-law partner and punched him in the face and then threw a bottle of perfume at him, hitting him on the elbow. The victim did not require medical attention. The accused is charged with one count of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 28-year-old male for assault. It is alleged that on July 8th the accused assaulted his ex-common-law girlfriend by grabbing her by the arm, throwing her to the ground and then repeatedly kicked and punched her. It is further alleged that the victim fled into her house only to be followed by the accused and once again kicked and punched. The victim did not seek medical attention. The accused is charged with one count of assault.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service “Street Team” and investigative units arrested a 42-year-old male for trafficking in a controlled substance and breach of an undertaking. It is alleged that when police conducted a vehicle traffic stop they located 22.3 grams of cocaine and 13 dilaudid tablets on a passenger in the vehicle. It is further alleged that the accused was in possession of a cell phone and a shotgun shell. At the time of these offences the accused was on a recognizance release order with conditions to not possess any non-prescription drugs, any cell phone or ammunition. The street value of the drugs seized is $2,590. The driver of the vehicle, a 41-year-old female, was also arrested at this time. Claude Corriveau, age 42, of 429 Cathcart St is charged with two counts of possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking and four counts breach of a recognizance.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service “Street Team” and investigative units arrested a 41-year-old female for trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that when police conducted a vehicle traffic stop they located 22.3 grams of cocaine and 13 dilaudid tablets on a passenger in her vehicle.

It is further alleged that the accused was in possession of a fentanyl patch. The street value of the drugs seized is $2,590. Rebecca Lewis, age 41, of 23 Grace St. is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking. Ms Lewis is to appear in court on Aug 15th at 9:00 am.

Female arrested for failing to appear for the purpose of identification
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 28-year-old female for failing to appear for prints. It is alleged that the accused failed to attend at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service on August 30th 2010 for fingerprints. Meagan Lewis, age 28, of 85 Chapple St is charged with one count of failing to appear for the purpose of identification. Ms. Lewis is to appear in court on Aug 15th at 9:00 am.

Break and enter
A residence in the 600 block of Second Line W. was entered – a quantity of building supplies was stolen.

An apartment in the 100 block of Terry Fox Pl. was entered – electronics were stolen.

A residence in the 100 block of Chapple St was entered – it is unknown what was taken at this time.

Theft
Three vehicles were entered yesterday.
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Valhalla Pl was entered – it is unknown what was taken at this time.

A vehicle was entered in the 100 block of White Oak Dr. – tools were stolen.

A vehicle was entered in the 300 block of Dovercourt Rd. – electronics and some cash were stolen.
