HOLD UP AT NCU: Yesterday at 1:45 pm a lone male entered the Northern Credit Union on Bay Street and made off with an undisclosed amount of money. The bills are mainly 50’s, 20’s, 10’s and 5’s in denomination.

Yesterday at 1:45 pm a lone male entered the Northern Credit Union on Bay Street and made off with an undisclosed amount of money. The bills are mainly 50’s, 20’s, 10’s and 5’s in denomination. The male is described as being in his late 20’s to early 30’s, 6’-6’2” tall with a thin build. He also has light brown hair and was wearing a blue jacket, a light blue top and possibly blue jeans at the time of the robbery.

The male fled the scene on foot in a westbound direction. No weapon was observed. Detectives from the Investigation Services Section of the City Police are continuing their investigation in this matter. CANADA CUSTOMS NABS DRINKER

48-year-old Keith Stuart of Madison, Wisconsin will appear in bail court today after he was stopped at Canada Customs yesterday. When Custom’s officers stopped Mr. Stuart’s vehicle it was noted that he appeared to have been drinking. Mr. Stuart was subsequently charged with consume over the legal limit.

FEMALE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

A 34-year-old female will appear in court on July 19th after she was charged with assault. Yesterday City Police responded to a domestic violence call in the central area of town. It is alleged the female became involved in a verbal argument with her estranged husband and subsequently punched the male in the face twice.

ASSAULT CHARGE

Robert Kennedy, age 43, of 83 Glenholme will appear in court on July 19th after he was arrested yesterday. It is alleged that Mr. Kennedy forced his way into the home of another male, and then kicked the male in the leg. Mr. Kennedy has been charged with assault and unlawfully in a dwelling house.

BATHING SUITS BEACH BOUND, REALLY

40-year-old Donat CYR, of 3-8 Queen Street East, was arrested yesterday and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged that Mr. Cyr, in the company of another person, attended Beach Bound Tanning on Queen Street East and stole 2 bathing suits on the 10th of June. The accused will appear in court on July 19th.

BREAK AND ENTERS

Yesterday City Police responded to 2 break and enters on Great Northern Road. B & R Auto Collision was entered over the weekend and nothing appeared to have been taken. Chunky Cheese was entered overnight and thieves made off with an undisclosed amount of money and also the hard drive from a Dell computer.
