Yesterday afternoon the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 28-year-old Terrance Saunders, of 128 Melvin St., Sudbury on several outstanding warrants. It is alleged that Mr. Saunders failed to appear for court in on October 19th 2009 on two charges of theft under $ 5,000, two breach of probation charges and one fail to appear in court charge.

Yesterday morning officers from the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 37-year-old male on one count of assault and one count of overcoming resistance to commission of an offence (choking). It is alleged that on Saturday June 12th the accused assaulted his wife by kicking her several times and later choking her around the neck. The victim did not require medical attention.

Young female arrested for theft under $ 5,000

Yesterday afternoon at 4:00 pm officers from the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended at the Sears Store in the Station Mall and arrested a 15-year-old female. It is alleged that the accused placed jewelllery, perfume and a video game, valued at $156.89, in her purse and then left the store without paying for the items. The accused will be appearing in court on July 20th at 9:30 am.

Break and enter

Sheds were entered in the 500 block of Maki Rd - construction equipment was stolen, the 400 block of Landslide Rd- copper wiring was stolen and the 100 block of Taskar Dr. - unknown if anything was taken.
A home in the 100 block of Pittsburg Ave was entered. Cash was reported stolen.

Mischief

Vehicles were reported damaged in the following locations:
The 100 block of Westridge Rd, the 100 block of Oakland Ave, the 100 block of White Oak Dr., the 100 block of Poplar Ave., the 100 block of Fort Creek Dr.
Homes were damaged in the 400 block of Wellington St. E., the 100 block of Weldon Ave and the 900 block of North St.

Theft

A bicycle was stolen from the 100 block of Timothy Pl.
Vehicles were entered in the following locations:
the 100 block of Second Line W.
the 100 block of Westridge Rd
the 500 block of John St.
the 100 block of Estelle St.
the 100 block of Putney Rd.
the 100 block of Ferguson Ave.
the 100 block of terry Fox Pl.
Personal papers, cash and electronic items were stolen from the vehicles.

The public is once again reminded to not leave any valuables in their vehicles.
