Male Arrested for Assaulting Two Females 48 year-old Maurice, (Moe) Christopher, Robinson of 528 Brunswick Avenue was arrested by officers with the Sault Ste.
Male Arrested for Assaulting Two Females
48 year-old Maurice, (Moe) Christopher, Robinson of 528 Brunswick Avenue was arrested by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service on the 4th of September at 4:05 am at his residence and charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault. It is alleged that on the 4th of September at approximately 3:48 am officers received a 911 call to attend at 528 Brunswick Street, the residence of the accused, for a complaint of a sexual assault, the accused being in possession of a knife and threatening persons with it. When officers arrived they discovered that there was a party going on with several persons in attendance and that the accused got into a dispute with two female guests that turned physical. The accused allegedly pushed one of the victims, slapped the other and then held a large kitchen knife in a threatening manner towards both of them. The victims were able to lock themselves in a room away from the accused until police arrived. The victims did not require any medical attention. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Domestic Related Arrest
A 41-year old male wanted in relation to assaults was arrested on the 3rd of September at 9:51 am by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service on Cornwall Street. The accused has been charged with four counts of sexual assault, one count of assault, three counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of possession of stolen property. It is alleged that between the 25th of August and the 1st of September the accused assaulted and sexuality assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Most of the assaults took place at the residence of the accused. When officers checked the accused and his vehicle on Cornwall Street they found him in possession of 16.8 grams of cocaine, a small amount of hash oil and crack cocaine. Officers also discovered that the plates on his vehicle were stolen. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Impaired Driver Arrested
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29 year-old William Boissoneau of 417 McLean Street, Sudbury, Ontario on the 4th of September at 3:35 am on Goulais Avenue and charged him with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 4th of September the accused was operating a 2002 Oldsmobile on Wallace Terrace when he turned left in front of a police cruiser at Goulais Avenue. The officer had to brake suddenly to avoid a collision. When officers stopped the vehicle, they found the driver, the accused, to be under the influence of alcohol. He is to appear in bail court this morning

Male Arrested for Mischief
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 30 year-old Mark Lucio of 293 Grand Boulevard on the 5th of September at 1:15 am on Queen Street East and charged him with one count of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on the 5th of September at approximately 1:00 am the accused threw a beer bottle at a window of a residence of a person known to him, in the 600 block of Queen Street East, smashing it. The accused is to appear in court on the 18th of October.

More Domestic Related Arrests
A 35 year-old female was arrested on the 8th of September at 5:35 am at her residence and charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 5th of September just after 5 am the accused arrived home in an intoxicated state, got into a verbal argument with her common law husband and went after him with a knife. The victim was able to leave the residence and call police. No injuries were reported. The accused was on probation at the time with conditions that she keep the peace and be good.

A 49 year-old male was arrested on the 6th of September at 3 pm at a west end residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 5th of September at approximately 6:30 am the accused assaulted his wife at their residence. No injuries were reported.

A 27 year-old male was arrested on the 3rd of September and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 3rd of September at 6:58 pm the accused assaulted his girlfriend in the downtown area after a verbal dispute. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

A 21 year-old female was arrested on the 5th of September at 6:30 am at her residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 5th of September around 6 am the accused assaulted her common law spouse by pushing him during a verbal argument. No injuries were reported.

A 60 year-old male was arrested on the 3rd of September at 7:10 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 3rd of September the accused assaulted his common law partner. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result.

Wanted Female Arrested for Aggravated Assault
On the 5th of September at 12:35 pm, 39 year-old Shannon Edwards, wanted on an outstanding aggravated assault warrant, was located and arrested during a vehicle check on Elgin Street by patrol officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service. She is charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 2nd of July 2010, the accused assaulted a 53 year-old female while in the parking lot of a local east end business. The victim suffered serious injuries to a hip and leg that required surgery. The accused was on probation at the time with conditions that she keep the peace and be good. She is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Shoplifter Arrested
19 year-old Todd Cappellani of 67 Highway 17 North, Heyden, Ontario was arrested on the 5th of September at 1 pm at Rome’s Independent Grocers after he allegedly attended at the store and stole a package of razors. He was apprehended by security and held for police. He has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and is to appear in court on the 18th of October.
