Domestic Situation A 31-year old male was arrested yesterday afternoon in regards to a domestic situation. Officers attended at a centrally located residence and took a complaint from a female victim.

A 31-year old male was arrested yesterday afternoon in regards to a domestic situation. Officers attended at a centrally located residence and took a complaint from a female victim. It is alleged that her ex-boyfriend assaulted her and threatened her over a time period of May 1st to July 12th. The assaults including pushing and grabbing. During the course of this time it is also alleged that the accused threatened the victim and damaged her residence as well as her vehicle. During this time frame it is also alleged that the accused entered the victim’s home and had a knife in his hand. The accused has been charged with one count of assault, one count of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, 2 counts of threatening death or bodily harm, one count of criminal harassment, and one count of unlawfully in a dwelling house.

Male Charged with Assault

An 18-year old male was charged with assault in regards to a complaint from his girlfriend on July 10th. It is alleged that the accused punched the victim in the face, pulled her hair and kicked her in the chest. The incident occurred in a downtown residence. The victim did not require medical treatment at the time of the incident.

Male Charged with Criminal Harassment

A 30-year old male was arrested early this morning. The male was wanted in regards to a criminal harassment complaint that was under investigation. It is alleged that in June and July of this year the female victim broke up with the accused. Since the break up it is alleged that the accused has continued to call the victim, show up at her place of residence, and attended at other family members residences looking for the victim. The male has been charged with one count of criminal harassment.


Male Charged with Mischief

33-year old Daniel Saris of 314 Albert Street East was arrested just after 2 am this morning. Officers attended at 146 Queen Street East, the offices of Plastino Accounting, after they received a call of an unconscious male. When officer arrived they found the front glass doors broken and the accused passed out in the landing. Mr. Saris was arrested and charged with one count of mischief.

Breach of Release Document

30-year old Keith Angecomb of 191 Maple Street was arrested just after midnight. A homeowner in the 100 block of Andrew Street called to report an unknown male sleeping on their front porch. When officers arrived they found the accused to be under the influence of alcohol. A police query revealed the accused was on a release document with conditions not to consume alcohol. The accused has been charged with one count of breach of a release document.

Numerous Charges Laid Against Female

Just before 6 pm last evening City Police were called to the Station Mall regarding problems with a female. It is alleged that 23-year old Alicia Sales of 73 Spring Street attended in the LCBO store and attempted to purchase some beer. She was refused and became upset, throwing the beer and yelling obscenities at the employees. She left the store and when security approached her and asked her to leave the mall she refused. When security officers went to arrest her it is alleged that she attempted to run and then punched one of the security officers in the face. The accused was taken to the security office and turned over to City Police. When patrol officers were taking the accused from the security office it is alleged that the accused spit on the security officers face. The accused has been charged with two counts of assault, one count of resist arrest and one count of cause a disturbance in a public place by swearing. The accused was also charged under the Trespass to Property Act with fail to leave premises when asked. She will appear in court on August 22nd.

Break and Enters

Yesterday morning, just after 6 am, City Police attended at Millies Mini Mart located at 245 Goulais Avenue regarding a break and enter. It is believed the break and enter occurred in the early morning hours. Thieves made off with cigarettes, lottery tickets, a large number of Playstation 2 games, and a small amount of money. If you know who is responsible for this break and enter, or know where the stolen property is, call City Police or Crime Stoppers. City Police also received a report of a break and enter to a garage in the 100 block of Turner Avenue. Thieves entered the garage overnight on the 11th and 12th and made of with various fishing equipment and some meat.

House Fire

Last night just after 9:30 pm City Police attended in the 600 block of Shafer Avenue to assist the Fire Department at a house fire. No one was injured in the incident.
