THIRSTY THEIVES 2 downtown businesses reported break-ins to vending machines at Western Tire and Advanced Transmission on Queen St East. Sometime overnight pop machines were entered and a quantity of pop and coins were removed.

2 downtown businesses reported break-ins to vending machines at Western Tire and Advanced Transmission on Queen St East. Sometime overnight pop machines were entered and a quantity of pop and coins were removed.

CULPRITS ON WRONG TRACK

A CN rail passenger car was broken into on Huron Street and reported to the City Police yesterday. The culprits took a large quantity of tools including fire extinguishers, hammers and pry bars, as well as causing minor damage inside.

FORD EXPLORER TAKEN

Tony’s Auto on Second Line East was broken into as well. A 1996 Ford Explorer XLT, green in color with a gray interior was taken during the incident. There is no license plate on the vehicle. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of the vehicle is asked to call the City Police at 949-6300.

AMBULANCE CALLED IN ACCIDENT

43-year-old Rebecca Pichette of 94 Willow Ave was charged with Follow to Close, after her vehicle was involved in an accident yesterday on Albert St E by Hughes St. The driver of the second vehicle, Jessica Moss, was taken to the hospital by ambulance with minimal injuries.

SIRENS GO OFF

A 15-year-old youth will be appearing in bail court this morning. It is alleged the youth stole a belt from the Sirens Store in the Cambrian Mall and was subsequently charged with theft under $5,000.

DOMESTIC RELATED MATTERS

A 51-year-old male will also be in bail court today on domestic related matters. The male is alleged to have gotten into an argument with the victim and then pushed her to the floor. The male was on probation with conditions not to molest, harass or annoy the victim at the time of the incident. He has been charged with assault and breach of probation.

BACK IN COURT

A 15-year-old youth was arrested yesterday on an outstanding warrant for theft under $5,000. The young person is alleged to have taken a portable DVD player from the downtown Zellers Store in April of this year. He was also charged with breach of probation and will appear in court on July 6th.

GOTTA DO THE PAPER WORK

24-year-old Crystal Galbraith and 29 year old Ryan Steinburg, both of 238 Hudson Street were charged yesterday with breaching their undertakings by failing to notify an address change. They will appear in court on June 7th.

DOMESTIC RELATED MATTERS

A 32-year-old female will be appearing in court on July 7th on domestic related matters. It is alleged a male victim was punched in the face, the female was charged with assault.
