BOTH CHARGED WITH ASSAULT On November 9th police attended an east end address in regards to a domestic disturbance.
BOTH CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

On November 9th police attended an east end address in regards to a domestic disturbance. It is alleged that a 30yr old male assaulted his 30yr old common law wife by choking and striking her in the face, and threatening to kill her. The female assaulted the male by scratching and striking him in the face. At the time of the incident the male was on conditions not to molest, harass or annoy the female. Both were charged each with 1 count of assault, and the male was additionally charged with 1 count of threatening death or bodily harm and 1 count of breach of probation. The male is to appear in court today, and the female is to appear in court on the 13th of December.

TURNS SELF IN FOR ASSAULT CHARGE

On the 9th of November 24 yr old Shawn Burch attended at the station and turned himself in on an outstanding charge of assault. The assault took place on the 1st of October 2004, at this time it is alleged that the accused assaulted the victim by punching and kicking him. As a result of the assault the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries to his facial area. The accused is to appear in court on the 13th of December 2004.

FRAUD CHARGES

It is alleged that on the 9th of November 46yr old Steven Creighton attended the Zellers department store at 293 Bay Street and returned merchandise from that store that he did not purchase. He was subsequently arrested and charged with 1 count of fraud and will appear in court on the 6th of December 2004.

IMPAIRED CHARGE

On the 10th of November at approximately 3:00am City Police stopped 23yr old Raymundas Morozevicius of Hanmer, Ontario. He was stopped do to his erratic driving in the down town area. The accused was found to be impaired and has been charged with 1 count of impaired driving and 1 count of consume over the legal limit. He will appear in court on December 13th, 2004.

City Police report no break and enters over night.
