Male Arrested for Assaulting Person Known to Him:

27 year-old Matti McClelland of 98 Birch Street was arrested on the 1st of September at 8:35 pm on Wilding Avenue and charged with one count of Assault, one count of Threaten Death or Bodily Harm and two counts of Assault with a Weapon. It is alleged that on the 1st of September at approximately 4 pm the accused assaulted a male known to him at a west end apartment complex by punching him several times, swinging a bat at him and throwing a beer bottle at him. The victim received non-life threatening injuries that required medical attention.

Domestic Related Arrests:

1) A 33 year-old male was arrested on the 1st of September at 10:46 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 1st of September at approximately 5:15 pm the accused got into a verbal argument with his girlfriend at his residence and assaulted her. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result.

2) A 30 year-old male was arrested on the 1st of September at 12:40 pm at his residence and charged with one count of breach of probation in relation to breaching conditions from an August domestic related incident involving his former girlfriend.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter on Pleasant Drive:

At 2:18 pm yesterday City Police were dispatched to a residence on Pleasant Drive regarding a break and enter in progress. A resident arrived home and observed three females on the property, one in the driveway and two in the garage. They all fled on foot in a northbound direction with a bottle of pop and some tools. Police searched the area and were unable to locate the suspects. The suspects were described as follows:

• Two of the females, are described as being African-American, one with a ponytail, long wavy hair to the center of her back, approximately 16-20 years of age, 5'4", thin with a yellow bag, wearing jeans and a short sleeve dark shirt.
• The second female was wearing a black and white checkered short sleeved shirt, had a ponytail, carrying a large yellow bag with a strap, approximately 5'3, thin, 16 to 20 years old
• The third was white, blonde shoulder length straight hair, 16-20 years of age, thin build, carrying a pink bag and wearing jean shorts and a light coloured shirt.

Gore Street Break and Enter:

A residence on Gore Street was entered at around 2:02 am this morning. A witness called police after observing a male leaving the residence. Police attended and could not locate the suspect. He is described as having a dark complexion, having a long ponytail and wearing black pants.

Thefts Reports:

• A 15 horse 2 stroke boat motor was stolen from the property of a residence on Ontario Avenue.
• A hunting licence and an FAC were reported stolen from a vehicle on Ferguson Avenue.

Mischief Report:

• Graffiti was reported at the Manitou Park Public School.
