Officers knew the accused’s driver’s licence was suspended and as such initiated a traffic stop

On November 15, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 34-year-old male from Sault Ste. Marie in relation to a domestic violence investigation.

It is alleged that between the end of September of 2017 and November 10 2017, the accused sexually assaulted his girlfriend on three occasions

It is alleged that in October the accused sexually assaulted an adult female that was known to him

She has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and will appear in court on Dec. 18th

Police say all necessary resources are being diverted to ensure public safety

Motorists are reminded to use caution and to give themselves extra time to get to their destinations.  Remember that road conditions can quickly change from clear to ice covered and visibility can be reduced at times

The accused fled after being confronted

He also stands accused of assaulting the victim by pulling her around the residence and threatening to kill her

The victim was able to get out of the way and the accused sped off
