With his great-grandmother Anna Nardini self isolating as the COVID-19 crisis continues, the Sault’s two-year-old Hudson Forbes delivered homemade cookies to lift her spirits outside her home Wednesday.
Nardini, fortunately, is not ill, but Hudson’s mother Brianna Forbes told SooToday “she’s elderly, so we’re taking into consideration the precautions recommended by health professionals and our government to socially distance ourselves. She’s just been a little bit lonely and we’ve been checking up on her and helping out as family to get groceries for her, and we just felt we wanted to make her day, so we baked some cookies and took them over and left a sign outside her window.”
“We’re happy to be there for her in these trying times. We’re really missing her but we have to do what we can to protect our community. We’re in regular contact with her on the phone but we just surprised her outside the window. She had a little tear on her face and chatted with her on the phone,” Brianna said.
“She was so happy.”
