Algoma Public Health's website indicates that the COVID-19 outbreak at the FJ Davey Home is now over.

APH initially declared an outbreak after six staff members tested positive for the virus on Jan. 29.

The outbreak, which was facility-wide, was the second reported since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. The first was declared at the home on Sept. 21, impacting two areas of the home (B1, B3), and ended on Oct. 1.

Currently, there are four active cases in the Algoma district, and two patients currently hospitalized with the virus. Data on howsmyflattening.ca suggests there is one patient in the ICU with COVID-19.

To date, 97,443 tests have been conducted in the region, 196 positive cases have been confirmed, 192 of which have been resolved and three of which have died.
