The City of Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development and Tourism and Community Development departments have organized a conference call to facilitate discussions on available business support and needs during this period of business interruption due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The purpose of the call is to:
• Relay information about any existing business supports that are in place
• Understand the needs and concerns of local businesses during this outbreak
• Explore opportunities to better support local businesses
• Establish a regular communication channel with the local business community
• Identify opportunities for local businesses to assist one another with needs
The first conference call will take place Thursday, March 19 at 9:15 a.m. Due to the volume of calls on conferencing systems system-wide, we recommend people access the call through their computer/tablet/device. “While the situation is changing each day, the City would like to open lines of communication with local businesses and ensure that the latest business support resources and support offerings are well understood,” said Tom Vair, deputy CAO, Community Development and Enterprise Services. “We also look to receive input and ideas from businesses with effective ways to assist them and to support one another during these difficult times.”
