The Board of Governors of Sault College has voted unanimously to renew the contract of President Dr. Ron Common to continue until August 2023.
“Dr. Common has been an outstanding leader for Sault College and the Board is very pleased with his commitment to making a difference in the education and lives of students,” said Chair David Zuccato of the Sault College Board of Governors. “Dr. Common has a clear plan for aligning the College’s vision with educational priorities and initiatives and understands the complexities of balancing current and future needs with ministry and college priorities.”
Since Dr. Common joined the College in 2007, the campus has been transformed, programming enhanced, and enrolment increased, both domestic and international, which together have helped to increase both the profile of Sault College as a leading educational institution and strong economic driver for the community.
“I’m very pleased that our Board of Governors has asked me to continue to lead the amazing team at Sault College,” said Dr. Common. “It’s an exciting time for Sault College and I look forward to working with the college community, the ministry and the communities in which we serve to ensure students are prepared for the jobs of the future.”
