It’s official: Camp McDougall is opening for the 2025 summer season — and we couldn’t be more excited to say it with 100 per cent certainty.
After two challenging summers, Camp McDougall is thrilled to confirm that with funding secured, staff hired, and having reached out minimum registration target, we are ready to welcome campers back to the shores of Lake Huron this July.
“This isn’t just an announcement — this is a confirmation,” said Board Chairperson Eric Verbonac.
“Camp McDougall is back. We’ve done the work, we’ve got the team, and now with enough campers we are excited for an awesome summer.”
This summer marks an extra special milestone: Camp McDougall’s 65th Anniversary.
For over six decades, the camp has provided unforgettable experiences, lifelong friendships, and a nurturing space for children and youth to grow.
Join us on Saturday, June 7th to celebrate 65 incredible years at our 65th Anniversary Celebration. Alumni, families, and supporters are invited to return to camp, reconnect, and celebrate this legacy.

Camper registration is still open — and spots are filling quickly. If you’ve been considering signing your child up, now is the time.
We still have partners that are providing financial aid if required.
To help get the camp ready for summer, we’re also inviting volunteers to join us for upcoming Work Bee clean-up days.
Whether you’re an alumnus, local supporter, or someone who just loves to lend a hand, we’d love to have you.

“We know the last two years created uncertainty in the community,” said Verbonac. “But we’re moving forward with confidence. Camp is opening, and we’re committed to making 2025 a meaningful and memorable season for everyone involved.”
Camp McDougall is a co-ed Christian summer camp offering dynamic programs for campers aged 7-16. An incorporated ministry of the United Church of Canada, we are proud to provide a safe and inclusive environment where youth can explore, grow, and thrive.
