If you’re wondering what to do with items you’ve cleaned out of closets and cupboards this spring, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore hopes you’ll consider donating them.
The social enterprise sells new and gently used home improvement items at discounted prices.
It is currently seeking donations of gently used furniture, appliances, building materials, home goods, and more to support the development of affordable housing in the Sault.
“Whether you’re downsizing, redecorating, or just spring cleaning, your donations help fund local build projects,” said Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie and Area in a news release.
The ReStore is accepting donations at the new Cambrian Mall location at 44 Great Northern Road (entrance off Willow Avenue) Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
For those who are unable to drop donations off, there’s also a free pickup service. Call 705-941-9646 for more information.
“The goods donated to ReStore are sold at affordable prices, and the proceeds directly support our local affordable homeownership program,” the organization added.
“It’s an easy way to declutter your home while giving back to your community.”
Monetary donations are also accepted.
