QUETICO PROVINCIAL PARK — Someone's visit to the picturesque wilderness of Quetico Park this season was marred by the loss of a wedding ring.
The good news is the ring has been found, and that park staff are anxious to see it returned to its owner.
They posted a message on Facebook this week about the discovery.
Superintendent Trevor Gibb said Wednesday he hopes the message eventually reaches the person who lost the ring.
"This obviously has sentimental value to someone. So we figured we'd better put the word out."
Gibb said the ring was found during this paddling season, but whoever claims it must be able to describe it and provide details of where and when they travelled during their visit to Quetico.
The park can be contacted with a private message through Facebook, or by phone at 807-597-2735.
