A vacant house in the city's downtown core was damaged as the result of a fire early Saturday afternoon.
Portions of Cathcart Street and Gore Street were closed to traffic while emergency crews responded to a fire in the 0-100 block of Cathcart. The fire appeared to be contained when SooToday arrived at approximately 1 p.m.
There's no word if any injuries were sustained in the incident.
