Frost possible for some areas tonight into holiday Monday

A temperature drop means the potential for some areas to see frost tonight as well as possible tomorrow night too

After some warm temperatures, some frost is on the way tonight for some areas.

With the temperature expected to dip below the freezing mark, Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory, which can be found below:

Frost advisory in effect for:

  • Blind River - Thessalon
  • Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake
  • Espanola - Killarney
  • Greater Sudbury and vicinity
  • North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa

Temperatures are expected to drop to below the freezing mark overnight tonight into Monday morning. Similar freezing conditions are also expected overnight Monday into Tuesday morning.

Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
