The Sault Ste. Marie Police Association hosted its annual Cops and Kids shopping event Saturday morning, giving more than a dozen children an opportunity to grab a few things at Walmart as the holiday season approaches.
Members from the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre, Anishinabek Police Service, Batchewana First Nation Police, and Sault Ste. Marie Police Service were on hand to partner up with kids to accompany them on their shopping spree.
Kids had a budget of roughly $150, but were able to exceed that spending limit with the help of donations.
