Get out the rubber boots! We're in for some soggy weather, according to Environment Canada, with heavy rains on the way totalling from 20 to 30 mm.

The weather agency issued a special weather statement saying the rain could begin tonight and continue through Monday afternoon or evening.

Conditions on the ground could lead to some localized flooding.

Find more on which communities are expected to get wet in the following release:

Special weather statement issued for:
Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay
Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island
   Greater Sudbury and vicinity
   Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake
Manitoulin - Blind River - Killarney

Current details:
Heavy rain tonight into Monday.

Hazard:
20 to 30 mm of rain.

Timing:
Beginning tonight and lasting through Monday afternoon or evening.

Discussion:
A low pressure system will bring another round of rain to the area. The ground, already near saturation, has little ability to absorb further rainfall.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
