A sign posted in front of 114 St. George's Ave. claims Russia, China, North Korea, and "King Trump" want World War III 'at any cost.' The homemade billboard, created by Wayne Sawyer, also calls out "Republic comrades" for disrespecting Canada.

A bright blue house on St. George’s Avenue has become an unlikely site of a political message, warning those who pass by of a potential Third World War on a large hand-painted sign.

Wayne Sawyer, the man behind the sign, directly calls out Russia, China, North Korea, and U.S. President Donald Trump as instigators in world conflict, and calls out Trump supporters, whom he refers to as “republic comrades” for disrespecting Canada’s leadership, damaging the economy, and threatening the country’s borders.

The sign reads:

QUESTION

WHO WANTS TO

START WORLD WAR THREE

A – RUSSIA

B – CHINA

C – NORTH KOREA

D – KING TRUMP

E – ALL OF THE ABOVE

IF YOU CHOOSE (E) YOU ARE RIGHT

THEY WANT IT ALL

ANY COST

TO ALL REPUBLIC COMRADES

--> YOU DISRESPECT OUR

PRIME MINISTER

--> YOU WANT TO DESTROY

OUR ECONOMY

--> AND NOW YOU THREATEN

OUR BORDERS

--> YOU ALL CAN KISS

This isn’t the first time the retired school bus driver has had an opinion so strong he wanted to share it on the front of his home.

The last message he and his wife had displayed was “during COVID times,” he told The Sault Star, to promote equality. “We all bleed red,” said Sawyer.

This time he is fed up with what he sees as dangerous political forces shaping the world, and their impact on Canada.

Sawyer said he deliberately used the phrase “Republic comrades” to compare Trump supporters to Russians. “I made a point to say republican comrades, because they’re acting like what Russia is doing,” said Sawyer.

Though, the term “comrade” is historically associated with communism.

He also referred to U.S. President Donald Trump in his public message as “King Trump,” following an X post portraying himself as a lion with a crown, with the caption, “Kings!”

During Trump’s first presidency, Sawyer said he predicted it would only be a matter of time until Trump called himself a king. He is pleased with his own foresight.

In disbelief that Trump got elected another term, Sawyer called him, “a womanizer, arrogant and racist.”

Sawyer said he wants people to think about why Trump is targeting Canada. His hunch is that Trump, along with a handful of other nations, want to start the Third World War.

“Russia wants Ukraine, China wants Taiwan, North Korea wants South Korea, and Donald Trump wants Canada,” said Sawyer.

He believes Trump has never aimed to improve anyone’s life but his own.

Though he called himself a liberal, Sawyer said he thinks that Doug Ford has what it takes to stand up to Trump and trusted the PCs with his vote at the provincial level.

“I’m glad Doug Ford spoke up,” he said.
