Kiwanis pancake breakfast welcomes hundreds to Moose Lodge

Organized by the Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore, funds raised from the pancake breakfast will go towards community projects focused on children and youth

It’s hard to think of a better way to start the morning.

Residents came out to the Moose Lodge in droves on Sunday for day two of the Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore’s weekend-long pancake breakfast.

Running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Kiwanis Club volunteers served up lots of homemade pancakes, sausages, real maple syrup, and an assortment of beverages to hungry locals.

Organizers say nearly 300 people stopped in for a bite on Saturday, and they expect similar numbers today.

Admission was $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $7 for children aged 5-12.

Funds raised from the breakfast will help support the Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore’s community projects focused on children and youth.
