Students at Sault College may get to sleep in Monday morning.
The community college said Sunday night that it will not open until noon on Monday because of the adverse weather and travel situation.
"Please be advised, due to the deteriorating weather conditions, freezing rain and icy roads, Sault College will be closed until 12 p.m., Monday March 31, 2025," Sault College president David Orazietti said in an email to local media.
"All classes and campus activities are cancelled until noon."
"We will reassess weather conditions and provide further communications at 10 a.m."
While the worst of an Ontario ice storm appears to have missed the Sault, several communities in central Ontario are without power and have declared states of emergency, with Barrie and Orillia among the communities hardest hit.
