A portion of the LCBO at Churchill Plaza remains boarded up after an individual hurled a bowling ball through a window there on March 5.
The bowling ball was apparently taken during a break-in to the former Churchill Plaza Lanes, according to a source with knowledge of the incident.
It was then used to bust a large window located on the side of the liquor store.
The individual fled after an unsuccessful attempt at entering the premises, the source told SooToday.
Police are investigating.
The new LCBO location at Churchill Plaza officially opened on Feb. 25 after relocating from its former location at Station Mall.
The downtown location is now permanently closed.
