SooToday reader Amy Drouin had an early morning visitor in her Fourth Line East backyard yesterday. She told SooToday that she first noticed the moose around 5:30 a.m., and she hung around in the yard until about 8:15 a.m.
The moose was apparently circling the yard unable to get past the fence back out into the bush.
The neighbours eventually managed to spook her in the right direction.
Drouin also said that while bears and deer are quite common in her area, this is the first time she's seen a moose.
Remember to keep an eye out for moose, bears and deer on the roads and on walking paths during this time of year.
