The return of wintry weather and poor driving conditions is impacting several roads.
Highway 556 is closed in both directions from Highway 532 in Searchmont and Highway 129 in Ranger Lake. All lanes are closed.
Further north, Highway 11 is closed in both directions between Highway 11/101 in Kapuskasing and Clear Lake Road in Matheson. All lanes are closed.
A few earlier highway closures have now been cleared including:
- Highway 17 from Pinewood Drive in Wawa to Highway 563 in Batchawana Bay
- Highway 101 from the Quebec-Ontario boundary in Matheson to Highway 17/101 in Wawa
- Highway 144 from Highway 101 in Timmins and Highway 560 in Gogama
- Highway 129 from Highway 17 at River Street in Thessalon and Highway 101 at Foleyet Street in Chapleau
