This weekend is the first official weekend of spring, but we will see colder-than-normal temperatures and even a few flurries. However, after this weekend, the overall weather pattern changes to a configuration that will bring warmer air back into the Sault region and melt whatever snow we still have.
Friday warms up a bit, with daytime highs of -1°C. Under cloudy skies, another 3-5cm of new snow is likely throughout the day.
Sunshine returns on Saturday, but temperatures fall to near -3°C in the afternoon thanks to a cool northwest wind. Sunday will be partly cloudy, with daytime highs climbing to near +1°C.
The warmer air pushes into the region on Monday, bringing clouds and possible late-day showers.
