Fall officially arrives at 8:43 a.m. this Sunday, coinciding with a change away from the record-breaking heat.  The start of this weekend will continue to see temperatures 5-10 degrees above average, but a cold front mixed with some wet weather will help drop daytime highs closer to typical values for the start of fall.

Friday will be mostly cloudy, with scattered showers as temperatures reach 24°C. Some shower activity could strengthen into isolated thunderstorms later this afternoon and early this evening.

Saturday will start with fog, mist, and the possibility of a morning shower. However, as the day progresses, skies will gradually clear, with afternoon sunshine and daytime highs reaching 26°C.

Clouds move back into the region on Sunday, and rain is likely in the afternoon and evening as temperatures reach 22°C.

Daytime highs will settle near 20°C for much of next week, which is still several degrees warmer than normal for the end of September.
