BARRIE -- The Greyhounds dug themselves an early hole but battled back only to fall 6-5 to the Barrie Colts before 3,397 fans here Thursday at the Molson Centre. Trailing 3-0 after the first period, the Soo tied the game 5-5 at 8:22 of the third when Jeff Doyle scored. But less than a minute later -- at 9:06 to be precise -- B.J. Crombeen beat Hounds' goalie Adam Munro for the winning goal. Trevor Daley had his second straight two-goal game for the Hounds, who are now off until December 29. The loss dropped the Hounds' record to 14-21-3-1. Jeff Carter and Matt Herneisen also scored for the Soo, who outshot Barrie 37-33. Former Greyhound blueliner Jeremy Swanson had a goal and an assist for the Colts. Ex-Hound Malcom MacMillan, acquired earlier in the week from Guelph, had an assist in his Barrie debut. "We were fortunate to come away with a win," said Colts' coach Bud Stefanski. "The Soo battled back hard. They played a very good road game."
