Athletes from across the province will take to the mats at the International Karate Daigaku Provincial Karate Tournament this weekend.
The full-day event goes Saturday in the main ballroom of Sault Ste. Marie’s Days Inn.
All ages and abilities will participate in the martial arts competition, including Tiny Tigers (young children), special needs athletes, and youth and adult competitors.
"This is more than a competition — it's a celebration of perseverance, inclusion, and growth in martial arts," said Sensei Chris Troch, event organizer. "We’re especially proud to highlight divisions for our youngest competitors and our students with special needs."
Admission is by donation, with doors opening at 9 a.m.
