The Soo Cambrian Mazda Midget Black Sox expected to have a double header on Wednesday night against the Petoskey Indians in Great Lakes Baseball League action.
What they got when they arrived at Sinclair Yards was a message saying that the Indians were not coming.
Black Sox coach Mike Lebel received a message from the Indians to inform the locals of the Indians inability to field a full team for the games.
According to Lebel, the Indians were only able to gather six players for the games as a number of their players had prior commitments and would have been unable to make the trip to Sault Ste. Marie to play the games.
The two games will be rescheduled for sometime next week although a specific date and time has yet to be determined.
In the meantime, the Black Sox have scheduled some exhibition games to be played early next week.
The Sox will face the Sudbury Midgets in their first action against another team from Ontario as many of their games are against American competition.
The Sox and Sudbury will play a double header on Monday with game one scheduled to begin at noon.
