The Sault College Cougars didn't disappoint a loud, frenzied, partisan crowd on Friday night in clawing the St. Clair Saints 90-68 in OCAA West Region men's basketball play. Sparked by Robbie Green's second straight three-point shooting show, the Cougars improved to 6-3 in the West Region standings, while St. Clair fell to 4-4. Green hit seven three-pointers for the second game in a row and finished with 24 points. Sean Seivwright with 17 points, Tim Higgins with 14 and Tim Walker with 12 also had productive offensive games for Sault College, which built a 48-25 halftime lead. Ray Henry and Jeff Rennison also contributed for Sault College in netting eight points apiece. In women's play, Sault College fell 76-30 to St. Clair. Erica Nethery led the Cougar women with 11 points, while Lee Ann Faganely, Becky Methot and Cara Russon all added four.
