Patrick Jarrett is apparently enjoying life with Miguel Delisle. Jarrett, an 18-year old centre with the Ontario Hockey League Owen Sound Attack, is coming off a seven-point weekend. The Sault Ste. Marie native assisted on all four goals in a 4-2 win over the Sarnia Sting on Saturday and then scored once and set up two others in a 5-5 Owen Sound tie with the Barrie Colts on Thanksgiving Monday. Jarrett now has 4-8-12 totals in nine games for the Attack, which is 1-0-1 since Delisle joined the team in a trade with the Ottawa 67s last week. An overage right-winger, Delisle led the OHL in goals with 55 last season. STAR WATCH: The Soo North Stars are home for a Great North Midget Hockey League doubleheader this weekend. With a record of 7-2-1, the North Stars are battling with the Sudbury Lockerby Nickel Capitals for first place in the Great North Midget Hockey League. Coincidentally, Sudbury provides the opposition for the North Stars this weekend, Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at John Rhodes Community Centre. The high-flying North Stars are coming off a Thanksgiving weekend road sweep of the Timmins Flyers, winning by 9-4 and 7-4 scores. In the 9-4 romp, David Turco led the Soo with three goals and an assist, while Cory Sewell dented the twine twice in support of goalie Travis O'Brien. In the weekend clincher, Adam Combs fired two goals to go with a pair of helpers, Turco triggered two goals and an assist, and Michael Sharp and Jeff Elliott both had a goal and two assists. O'Brien relieved starting goalie Michael Maulucci -- who was ejected late in the second period for fighting, which carries an automatic one-game suspension -- and was flawless in preserving the win for the North Stars. Turco leads the North Stars in scoring with 10-6-16 totals, followed by the bantam-aged Sharp at 5-8-13, Sewell at 7-4-11 and Combs -- another bantam rookie -- at 4-5-9.
