SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. -- Corey Davidson continued his legacy here Saturday at the 35th running of the I-500 Snowmobile Race. The native of Newfounden, Minn. became only the second driver in I-500 history to win for the fourth time. Davidson previously won the I-500 in 1998, 1999 and in 2000. The legendary John Wicht 111 was the first driver to capture the I-500 on four occasions. Davidson drove a Polaris to victory. The race was marred by the death of a Munising racer on the 40th lap. The casualty was the second in race history.
