The Kinross Speedway is gearing up for the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club Night this Friday after rain washed away last Friday's program.

Action in the points race continues to heat up while the drivers continue to wait for the big cash payday at the Randy Dewitt Memorial Invitational in September.

The following is a press release highlighting the upcoming events from the Kinross Speedway:

Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club invades Kinross Speedway THIS FRIDAY!!

By Gerry Liscumb Jr.

The gates would remain locked this past Friday night at the Kinross Speedway, as Mother Nature would put a damper on what was scheduled to be their 9th night of racing action.

With heavy rain showers in some of the surrounding communities and light rain where it mattered most, Kinross, track promoters were forced to pull the plug on their racing program for the 4th time this season.

The cancellation of that night's race program now results in what will be an even bigger and better night this coming Friday, August 6th.

A full 4-in-1 show will be on tap as part of Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club Night at the Speedway, along with Round 2 of our Powder Puff Races.

The Late Model, Factory Stock and Pure Stock features will also be host to lap money courtesy of Northside Used Auto of Pickford, MICHIGAN.

Canadian Money will continue to be accepted at Par for admission to the main grandstands.

Qualifying begins at 6 p.m. with racing to follow at 7:30 p.m.

As mentioned earlier, members of the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club will be in attendance to promote their organization.

Established in 1965, the MARFC hosts numerous events across the state of Michigan weekly at its various member facilities.

The Kinross Speedway is proud to be a member track of the MARFC and to be hosting a "Club Day" here in 2004.

Lastly, don't forget to check out the information on the 2nd Annual Randy Dewitt Memorial Invitational set for Saturday, September 11th here at the Speedway.

A complete registration / info package can be viewed online at our website at www.kinrossspeedway.com

Late Models will be gunning for the $1500 top prize while Factory Stocks battle it out for $1000 to win, Pure Stocks $750 to win and Four Cylinders speed around the ¼ mile looking for the $500 first-place prize.

With 5 regular nights of racing action still ahead of us, the points race will continue to heat up in all 4 divisions, as the drivers battle it out for their respective 2004 track championships.

All the entertainment and excitement continues this coming Friday night and we invite you and your family to come join us!

This is the latest word until the next green flag flies at the track "Where Action is the Attraction!!" -- the Kinross Speedway!!
