McDougall Fuels knocked off league champion Best Western two games to none in the best-of-three final to claim the Sault Female Hockey Association's Intermediate Division playoff crown.

McDougall Fuels knocked off league champion Best Western two games to none in the best-of-three final to claim the Sault Female Hockey Association's Intermediate Division playoff crown.

Tamara Tyczinski was outstanding in goal holding the high scoring Best Western off the score sheet to post the shutout in their 3 - 0 victory in the final game.

Melissa Theriault and Jenna Buck scored 35 seconds apart midway through the second period to provide the offensive spark that McDougall would need to win. Kaylin Woods added an empty net goal in the last minute of play to seal the win.

Other McDougall Fuel team members are Lynn Dalcourt, Alaina DeBruyne, Jamie Kirk, Kristen Johnson, Tiana Chandler, Sarah Royer, Casey Sivret, Katie Kane, Jill Connolly, Shannon Decker, Emma Paat and Brandy Owl.

The coaching staff includes Randy Kirk, Daryll Buck, Don Abbott, Bonnie Kirk and Paula Chandler.
