Sand was flying at Runway Park as motocross took centre stage in the local racing scene on Sunday. Several local racers joined others from out of town to display their skills on the newly developed motocross track at Runway Park beside the Sault Ste.

Sand was flying at Runway Park as motocross took centre stage in the local racing scene on Sunday.

Several local racers joined others from out of town to display their skills on the newly developed motocross track at Runway Park beside the Sault Ste. Marie Airport.

The city played host to the first of two CMRC Central Region Motocross Racing events for both beginners and experienced racers.

A large crowd took in the day long event and provided good support for the large contingent of local racers in the field.

The second CMRC event will be held on September 26.
