The Sault Ste. Marie Pee Wee B Wildcats returned home from the Ontario Women's Hockey Association Provincial Championships with a silver medal.
The Wildcats were handed silver after falling to Port Perry 2-0 in the gold medal game on Sunday in Brampton.
Earlier in the day, the Wildcats, who finished the round robin at 3-0, advanced to the championship game with a 2-1 win over Tiverton. On Saturday, the locals scored a 4-1 win over Belleville in the quarterfinals.
Three other teams from the Wildcats organization, including the Bantam BB, Bantam B and Midget AA reps, participated in the tournament but were eliminated from further play after the round robin.
In three round robin games, the Midget AA Wildcats recorded a tie and two losses while both Bantam entries finished with identical 0-3 records.
