The Sault Minor Football Association will stage a pair of games on championship Friday at Rocky DiPietro Field. The league finals in the bantam and tyke divisions will begin with the tyke final at 6 p.m. between Rome's and Sports Gold followed by the bantam title match-up between Scholars and Brody's under the lights. In the bantam division, Brody's advanced to the championship game with a 36-0 semi-final victory over TinGrins on Sunday at Queen Elizabeth Field. Quarterback Kevin Smith threw three touchdown passes including two to Tim Childs, one a 97 yard catch and run, and one to Todd Wagner. Wesley Greco and Matthew Wagner also scored touchdowns for Brody's. Scholars advanced with a 26-0 blanking of the Firefighters. Michael Esson led the attack with two touchdowns while Jordan Verdone and Nicholas Didonato scored one each. In the tyke semi-finals, Rome's advanced with a 50-14 win over MemberCARE. Christian Mahler, Matthew Davies and Tyler Vernelli scored two touchdowns each for Rome's while Alex Griffa scored one. Patrick Watling and Darcy Casola scored touchdowns for MemberCARE. Sports Gold beat Brody's 42-12 led by Brock Hoover's three touchdowns. Brian Nanne scored two touchdowns and Dylan Greco one for Sports Gold. Ben Cicchelli and Justin Amadio scored majors for Brody's
