The Searchmont Ski Runners continued their domination of the Northern Ontario Cup by holding on to the team trophy for 15 consecutive seasons after the Northern Ontario Division(NOD) wrapped up its ski season in Timmins.

When the final results were tabulated for the 2005 season Sault Ste. Marie's Meghan DiAngelo (13yrs old) captured the overall NOD women's crown. Diangelo secured the trophy with silver medal finishes in the final three slalom events of the season at the Kamiscotia Ski Hill in Timmins.

A K2 (13-14yrs) athlete DiAngelo also shone at the Ontario Championships held at Searchmont Resort. Her efforts in the week long competition at the end of February qualified her for the national championships in Alberta.

On the K2 men's side, Jack Zinser, a Sault, Michigan resident skiing for SSR, captured three silver medals in Timmins. Zinser also represented the club at the Canadian Championships posting top 25 finishes in two disciplines.

In the K1 (11-12yrs) category, SSR's Nicole Gignace dominated the women's field winning three gold medals. Teammate Meghan Horbatuk claimed one silver.

On the men's side, Devin Labelle brought home a pair of silver medals from Timmins while Iain Hutchison claimed a bronze.
