Rookie centre Tyler Kennedy scored at 6:03 of the third period to lift the Soo Greyhounds to a 4-3 win over the highly touted Sarnia Sting before 2,568 fans at Memorial Gardens Wednesday night. Kennedy, a local product who was the Hounds' first pick at this year's Ontario Hockey League draft, broke a 3-3 tie with the goal. The win for the Hounds was their second in a row and boosted their season record to 7-13-3-1. The game was the first of a three-game home stand for the Soo, which will play host to the Windsor Spitfires on Friday and the Plymouth Whalers on Sunday. It was the Hounds' debut for three players acquired earlier in the week in a trade with the Erie Otters -- goalie Adam Munro and forwards Jeff Doyle and Scott Dobben. Munro made 24 saves, while Doyle picked up an assist. Petr Taticek, Jeff Carter and Sean Stefanski scored the other Hound goals.
