Soo Pickleball now offering more beginner lessons

After an overwhelming response for beginner lessons in September, Soo Pickleball is offering more beginner lessons in January.

Beginner lessons are $30 and run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or 7:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. on Monday Jan. 22 or Monday Jan. 29 at the Tech Complex gym located at 130 Wellington St. E.

Soo Pickleball has certified instructors to lead beginners through the basics in a two hour session. 

You will be taught grip, strokes, playing, positioning, scoring - everything you need to know to get started. Soo Pickleball provides balls and paddles for the lessons.

Spots are filling fast.

Soo Pickleball reserves the right to cancel one or more of the times offered if there are insufficient numbers.

A Beginners League will also be launched soon.

Beginners League matches will be played on Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Feb. 5 to April 8.

The Beginners League membership fee is $50.

All players must have a Soo Pickleball/Pickleball Canada membership for $25.

The deadline to sign up for lessons and the league is Dec. 15. Soo Pickleball will notify all those who have made it into lessons and the league by Dec. 17.
