Shoot for the Cure is returning to university sports Jan. 18-29 with schools across the country participating to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. Algoma University is again taking part in the campaign starting with Thunderbirds basketball games on Jan. 14.
Proceeds from the games will be donated to our Thunderbirds Team Page. During the women’s halftime, hairstyling students from the Sault College program will be cutting the hair of volunteers. At the men’s halftime you can catch coaches and administration members getting pied by athletes.
Spectators are encouraged to wear pink to raise awareness.
