The Sault Ste. Marie Centennial Public Library will be holding a WRITER’S WORKSHOP hosted by author Rose McCormick Brandon.
Rose is the author of PROMISES OF HOME, a collection of 31 stories of Canada's immigrant children.
The workshop will take place on Thursday, May 7 from 2-4 p.m.
This workshop is designed to help non-fiction writers turn their personal experiences into stories.
Are you doing genealogical research? You’ll learn how to turn facts into stories that your family will be able to pass down for generations.

Rose McCormick Brandon, author of PROMISES OF HOME, will be doing an author reading, Thursday, May 7 from 7-8 p.m. at the Centennial Library – 50 East Street.
Come and relax in the Upstairs Reading Area to hear the author read from her recently published book.
Attendees will be taken on a colourful journey into the lives of the British Home Children who helped build and shape Canada.
Spanning seven decades (1869-1939), approximately 100,000 boys and girls arrived in Canada.
They persevered against the odds, took root and changed the landscape of our country.
They multiplied and today their offspring make up ten percent of Canada’s population.
Books will be available for signing and purchase.
