DALLAS — Reid Boucher and Nic Dowd are near the bottom of Vancouver's scoring leaderboard, with the Canucks sitting near the bottom of the standings. They combined to help Vancouver pull Dallas down toward the bottom Sunday night.

WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Jets clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup playoffs with a 5-4 shootout win over the Nashville Predators on Sunday. Mark Scheifele scored the only shootout goal for either club.

SAN JOSE, Calif. — The San Jose Sharks head back to the Midwest for their final road trip of the season looking like a far different team than the one that stumbled its way through a tour of the Central Division just last month.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Defenceman Will Borgen is skipping his senior season at St. Cloud State after signing a three-year entry level contract with the Buffalo Sabres. Borgen's contract with the Sabres won't kick in until next season.

PITTSBURGH — Sidney Crosby crystallized the Pittsburgh Penguins' hot run against the Philadelphia Flyers with the kind of goal that he and few others on the planet can create.

EDMONTON — Connor McDavid had a pair of goals to take over the NHL scoring lead as the Edmonton Oilers won their third straight game, defeating the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 on Saturday.

DENVER — Gabriel Landeskog beat Marc-Andre Fleury with a nifty move in the shootout, and the Colorado Avalanche kept expansion Vegas from clinching a playoff spot by beating the Golden Knights 2-1 on Saturday.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Bruce Boudreau didn't want anyone making a big deal about his 500th career win as an NHL coach. With a tightening playoff race, his Minnesota Wild have other things to worry about.
