Toronto Marlies move atop North Division with 5-2 AHL win over Laval Rocket

LAVAL, Que. — Rinat Valiev, Adam Brooks, Kerby Rychel and Chris Mueller all had a goal and an assist to lead the Toronto Marlies past the Laval Rocket 5-2 in American Hockey League action Wednesday night.

Andreas Johnsson had the other goal for Toronto (24-11-0-0), which moved atop the North Division, two points ahead of the idle Rochester Americans. Goaltender Garret Sparks stopped 22 shots.

Daniel Audette and Adam Cracknell scored for Laval (14-15-5-2) as Charlie Lindgren made 27 saves.
