Peacefully with her daughters by her side on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, Ontario, just ten days shy of her 90th birthday. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Bill (2017). Dear mother of the late Ronald Andrews (Irene), Wendy Robertson (Ralph) and Kathryn Andrews-Smith (Peter). Much loved and proud Nana of Stacie Lepage (Derrick), Christine McMaster (Jason), Dr. Andrew Robertson, Emily Kutalowski (Maciek), David Andrews and Jason Andrews. Great-Nana of Grant Wilson, Riley Andrews, Parker McMaster, Penelope Kutalowski and the most recent addition, Petra Kutalowski. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Pauline Kobinski. Sister of the late Ted Kobinski (Janet) and the late Valerie Lavery (Barry). Daughter-in-law of the late William Andrews and the late Catherine Lawrence. Sister-in-law of the late Kathleen Shields (late Bob), late Wilna Lawrence (late Arnold), late Jean Grasley (late John), late Lawrence Andrews (Lois) and the late Donald Andrews (late Betty). Amy will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Amy loved spending time with her family, especially when she got to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lovingly nicknamed “shrimp” Amy was usually quick to accept an invitation to go shopping - but being so short, those who took her were always on the lookout to make sure she didn’t get lost in the racks of clothing, always joking that they should attach a tall orange bike flag or a balloon to her for easy visibility.
A Memorial Service will take place in Sault Ste. Marie in the late spring of 2024. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (https://www.heartandstroke.ca/) or Pet Save Sudbury (https://petsavesudbury.com/) would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, P6B 0B6, 705-945-7758). www.northwoodfuneral.com
